TOOTH EXTRACTIONS

Although it is always our goal to help you preserve your natural teeth as long as possible but in some conditions removing the tooth is the only option, such as:

  • Severe fractures

  • Cracked roots

  • Infection

  • Advanced periodontal disease

  • Full mouth rehabilitation

We try and make the entire procedure comfortable from start to finish and post-operatively.

Most extractions are fairly short procedures, although some can take more time.

Once we remove a tooth, we recommend its replacement such as a bridge or placing an implant, except in wisdom molar extraction cases.

This prevents the other teeth from shifting out of place after the adjacent or opposing tooth is gone.

We will be happy to discuss your options with you prior to your extraction to decide your treatment plan.

TMJ TREATMENT

Do you suffer from migraines or migraine-type headaches?

Does your jaw feel tight or is there a clicking noise every time you open & close your mouth?

Suffer from frequent neck pain or earaches?

Tell your dentist! He can help.

  • Occlusal Splints — Customized and advanced “night guards”. They prevent clenching and reposition your jaw to a more favorable and comfortable position.
  • Invisalign— If your bite is not balanced then TMJ can be the cause of pain. For this, we recommend conventional braces to Invisalign to correct your unbalanced bite.
  • Surgery — In rare situations, you may require a more advanced surgical treatment to correct this problem. For this, we can refer you to someone who can provide the care you need.

WISDOM MOLARS EXTRACTION

Wisdom teeth that are causing the following complications should be removed:

  • Impacted teeth
  • Infection or cysts
  • Decay
  • Partial eruption

If wisdom teeth are positioned incorrectly or are hard to clean due to partial eruption or location, they will eventually develop gum disease and tooth decay.

These conditions spread to adjacent healthy teeth, creating a chain reaction impacting your overall oral health.

SINUS LIFT SURGERY

A maxillary sinus lift is a surgical procedure which aims to increase the amount of bone in the upper jaw bone that is in the area of the premolar and molar teeth.

It is of two types direct and indirect depending upon the amount of bone left and needed for placing an implant.

We might have to supplement the surgery with a bone graft for proper osseointegration of the implant giving the prosthesis more stability.

BONE GRAFTING

It is a procedure to grow bone with the help of artificial grafts. It might be needed in the following conditions:

  • To support the implants
  • To treat vertical bone defects
  • In sinus lift procedures
  • Socket preservation after tooth extraction
